Croatia

Who knew it was so green...

Croatia, the "in" place to visit at the moment thanks to the amazing Game of Thrones TV series (P.S. If you don't watch it, we can't be friends) but aside from that it has the most amazing the historical structures and national parks and waterfalls to die for. The food is beautiful (and cheap) the wine is divine (and cheap) and the weather is stunning (luckily that costs nothing) so what are you waiting for.

My expectations of the place was that it would be dusty and orange, and yes although there are parts like that, Dubrovnik and Split, there are also acres and acres of national parks making it one of the greenest places I have visited. Its well worth hiring a car and taking it for a trip to Krka Krka and Plitvice in particular, the later being the busiest but having the most impressive waterfall, the fore being incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The roads are well maintained and the toll roads in particular are excellent, i honestly can't recommend it more!
